ABOUT EDGE HOBOKEN MIXED MARTIAL ARTS
Edge Hoboken MMA marks the birth of the Edge School of Wrestling’s transition into the Mixed Martial Arts world. For more than 25 years the Edge has been known as one of the most elite wrestling schools in the US training youth, high school, collegiate, and World and Olympic level wrestlers. The Edge has integrated the same philosophy, assembling a committed and accomplished team of Mixed Martial Arts experts with quality work out partners in a great practice atmosphere. The wrestling based aspect is what separates the Edge from other mixed martial arts schools. Classes will be offered in the disciplines of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Submission Grappling, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Strength and Conditioning. Whether focused on developing a specific combat discipline, seeking competitive training, or looking for a challenging way to get in the best shape of your life, Edge MMA has a class for you.

ABOUT MIXED MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING Mixed Martial Arts – MMA Classes: Jiu-jitsu Training: Brazilian Jiu-jitsu classes are 1 hour of training consisting of
submissions from the standing and ground positions as well as throws,
takedowns, and takedown defense. Jiu-jitsu training is done wearing a Gi. No
Gi classes are offered
to Blue belt level students and above. Belts White, Blue, Purple,
Brown, and Black can be obtained through consistant training. The Jiu-jitsu
training environment is friendly and focused on learning the proper
submission techniques with some "live" practicing at the end of our Jiu-jitsu classes. Muay Thai Training: Muay Thai classes are 1 hour of training learning how
to punch, kick, knee, elbow, and clinch to strike. Gloves and hand
wraps are required when first starting out with Muay Thai classes. As the student
progresses, focus mits, leg guards, and kick pads will be utilized.
Muay Thai training is done both individually and with a partner. Sparring is
reserved for advanced Muay Thai students only. Wrestling: Wrestling class is 1 hour of training that consists of all aspects and
styles of wrestling including stance, takedowns,
takedown defense, clinches, holds, and turns. It's designed to
develop the ability to control of your opponent, improve the skills
necessary to be successful in Jiu-jitsu, grappling, MMA, and a great
